Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated Logistics Sr. Expert to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the logistics processes within our organization run smoothly and efficiently. This includes overseeing the transportation of goods, managing inventory levels, coordinating shipments, and collaborating with various departments to ensure timely delivery of products. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in logistics management.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the transportation of goods, including scheduling pickups and deliveries, tracking shipments, and ensuring that products arrive on time and in good condition.
- Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and implementing strategies to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Coordinate shipments by arranging for products to be picked up or delivered, providing shipping labels and documentation, and tracking packages to ensure they reach their destinations on schedule.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production, sales, and finance, to ensure that orders are fulfilled promptly and accurately.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve logistics operations, such as optimizing routes, reducing transit times, and increasing efficiency.
- Monitor costs associated with transportation, warehousing, and inventory to identify areas where savings can be achieved.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards when handling hazardous materials or waste.
- Stay updated with changes in industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to logistics management.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel and Access.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Lean principles and Six Sigma methodology.
